REFTA AFRICA Digital Electronic Wallet & Marketplace Terms and Conditions
Please read the following Terms and Conditions carefully before using the REFTA AFRICA Digital Electronic Wallet, Marketplace, and associated services (“Services”) provided by REFTA AFRICA (“we,” “our,” or “us”).

By accessing or using our platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the platform immediately.

1.GENERAL TERMS

a. User Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and possess the legal capacity to use this platform. If you are under 18, usage is permitted only under the supervision and consent of a parent or legal guardian.
b. Account Registration & Security
You are required to provide accurate and complete information during registration. You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities conducted under your account.
Notify us immediately in case of any unauthorized access.

2. WALLET SERVICES
Refta Africa provides a digital wallet system that enables users to carry out financial and telecom-related transactions.
a. Deposits (Funding)
Users can fund their wallet through assigned virtual account numbers or approved payment methods.
b. Withdrawals
Users can withdraw funds to supported bank accounts, subject to applicable limits and charges.
c. Transfers
Users can transfer funds within the platform or to external accounts where applicable.
d. Transaction Records
Users can access their transaction history within the platform at any time.

3. VTU & DIGITAL SERVICES
Refta Africa provides Value-Added Telecom (VTU) services including:
Airtime purchase
Mobile data subscription
Cable TV subscription
Electricity bill payments
Airtime to cash conversion (where available)
All transactions are processed instantly but may depend on third-party service providers. Transactions once completed may not be reversible.

4. MARKETPLACE SERVICES
Refta Africa includes a digital marketplace where users can buy and sell goods and services.
a. Listing of Products
Users (vendors) can list both digital and physical products for sale. All listings must be accurate, lawful, and not misleading.
b. Vendor Responsibility
Vendors are responsible for:
Product quality and delivery
Accurate descriptions and pricing
Customer communication
c. Marketplace Commission
Refta Africa charges a 5.5% commission on every successful sale.
This fee is automatically deducted from the transaction amount.
Vendors are advised to factor this fee into their pricing structure.
d. Prohibited Items
Users must not list illegal, fraudulent, harmful, or restricted items. Violation may result in account suspension.

5. REFERRAL SYSTEM
Refta Africa operates a referral reward system.
Users earn 5% of the first deposit made by any referred user
This reward is capped at ₦50,000 per referral
Rewards are credited to the user’s wallet
Abuse of the referral system may result in disqualification.

6. GIVEAWAY FEATURE
Refta Africa allows users to create and distribute giveaways such as:
  • Airtime
  • Data
Users are responsible for the setup, fairness, and delivery of their giveaways. Refta Africa is not liable for disputes arising from giveaway participation.

7. VENDOR / RESELLER FEATURES
Users may participate in vendor or reseller activities, including:
  • Selling telecom services
  • Listing products on the marketplace
  • Earning margins or commissions on services
All earnings are subject to platform rules and applicable fees.

8. FEES AND CHARGES
a. Transaction Fees
Certain transactions may attract fees. These will always be displayed before confirmation.
b. Marketplace Charges
A 5.5% fee applies to all successful product sales.
c. Third-Party Charges
Some services (e.g., VTU, banking, or payment gateways) may include third-party fees.

9. PLATFORM INDEPENDENCE
The Wallet (VTU services) and Marketplace operate as independent but connected features within the same ecosystem.
Users may choose to use either or both services without restriction.

10. USER RESPONSIBILITIES
By using Refta Africa, you agree to:
Provide accurate information
Use the platform lawfully
Avoid fraudulent or misleading activities
Respect other users within the ecosystem
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

11. PRIVACY AND SECURITY
a. Data Protection
We are committed to protecting your personal data. Please refer to our Privacy Policy for more details.
b. Security Measures
We implement industry-standard security practices; however, users are responsible for safeguarding their login details.

12. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
Refta Africa shall not be held liable for:
  • User-to-user disputes
  • Losses arising from marketplace transactions
  • Third-party service failures
  • Unauthorized access due to user negligence
13. TERMINATION
a. By User
You may close your account at any time.
b. By Refta Africa
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts without prior notice if:
Fraudulent activity is detected
Terms are violated
Legal obligations require it

14. GOVERNING LAW
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
All disputes shall be resolved under Nigerian jurisdiction.

15. CHANGES TO TERMS
We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms at any time.
Continued use of the platform constitutes acceptance of any updates.
